About Sales Tax Plus

Eugene A. Northrop is the President of Sales Tax Plus, Inc. He has over 23 years experience with New York State, New York City, and multistate sales and use tax compliance and audit administration, including 14 years as a sales and use tax professional with a Fortune 100 corporation. Gene graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is a certified sales tax professional (CSM) of the Institute of Property Taxation. Gene is the co-author, with Bill Nojay, of the New York Sales and Use Tax Handbook for Manufacturers. Gene is a regular speaker at sales and use training programs for manufacturers and has been the featured presenter before programs sponsored by the National Business Institute, local chapters of the New York State Society of CPAs, and industry trade associations.

Michael Williams is the Director of Compliance Review of Sales Tax Plus, Inc. He has 20 years experience in tax compliance, tax planning, accounting systems development and general ledger accounting in manufacturing companies. Prior to joining Sales Tax Plus, Inc., Mike was the Controller of MDT Technionic Company, a $50 million manufacturer located in Upstate New York. Prior to that, he held a wide range of financial roles at MDT and its affiliated companies.
